Robert D. Kepple Sr.

July 17, 1953 ~ June 25, 2016 (age 62) 62 Years Old


Robert D. “Kep”“Bob” Kepple Sr., 62, of Moran Rd., Butler, went to be with the Lord and his departed family early Saturday morning, June 25, 2016 at his home.

 

Bob was born on July 17, 1953 in Butler.  He was the son of the late Robert A. and Marian R. Williams Kepple.

 

He was a long time member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church. Bob belonged to the Happy Hunter’s Club in Fenelton, and had been a member of the East Butler Firehall.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Bob looked forward to playing “Santa Clause” for the kids every year at Christmas, as well as working on various projects, especially Jeremy’s house and barn.  Bob was a well known baseball coach and manager for the East Butler Baseball Association, coaching for almost half a century and two generations, including his kids and grandkids.   What was most important to Bob was spending time with his family.  Bob had been employed by Castle Rubber.

 

Surviving is his wife, Theresa LeGrand Kepple, whom he married in Butler on April 24, 1971.  Also surviving are four children, Robbie Kepple and his wife, Kim, Jackie Kepple (Allen Dunlap), and Shelly Brown of Butler, and Jeremy Kepple of Chicora; ten grandchildren, Justin, Austin, Nathan, Dustin, Tyler, Zack, Ashley, David, Larissa, and Levi; three great grandchildren, Brentley, Grayson, and Kaiden; three sisters, Joann Green and her husband, Art, Sally Lehnerd and her husband, Dave, and Debbie Kepple, all of Butler, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

 

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Tuesday.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Rd., Butler, with the Rev. Matthew McClain, church pastor, officiating.  Interment will be at St. Wendelin Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church.  For additional information or to send a condolence, please visit www.hilefh.com.
