Glenn Everett Vaughn , 71, of Knox, lost his fight with cancer on January 14, 2016.
Glenn was born in Mexico, Missouri on January 30, 1944. He was the son of the late James Sterling and Mary Rosaline Roland Vaughn.
Glenn graduated from high school in Vienna, MO, in 1961. After graduating his family moved to Wayne County, MI. Glenn joined the U.S. Army National Guard in 1965 and later that year was employed by Ford Motor Company. He retired in October 2004 following 38 years of service. Glenn enjoyed cooking, gardening, hunting, woodworking, birdwatching and was a car and truck enthusiast. He was of the protestant faith.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Smith (Fair) Vaughn, whom he married April 30, 2004 in Clarion. Also surviving is his son, Everett G.Vaughn and his wife, Shanna M. (Egri) Vaughn, of Dearborn Heights, MI; his sisters, Mary Alice Graham of Little Rock, AR and Margret Ann Vaughn of Henley, MO; a step daughter, Heather (Fair) Neely and her husband, Matthew, of Titusville; a grandson, Michael G. Vaughn; two step granddaughters, Jessica Egri and Sarah Neely.
Glenn is deeply loved and will be missed by all his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held from the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. David S. Coul, pastor of the Knox United Methodist Church, officiating. For additional information or to send a condolence, please visit www.hilefh.com.
