Lillian Mae (Southworth) Shearer

Lillian Mae Shearer, 89, of South Washington St., Eau Claire, passed away Wednesday morning, January 4, 2017 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Lillian was born in Verona on March 26, 1927.  She was the daughter of the late John and Florence Lennard Southworth.

Lillian was a homemaker and enjoyed using her computer, watching, television, and the company of family, friends, her cockatiel, Banjo, and her dog, Hunter.

She is survived by five children, Richard Southworth and his wife, Mary Ann, of Emlenton, Dixie Lee Hamilton of New Castle, Linda Dianne Kyle and her husband, James, of West Sunbury, Deborah Sue Stevens of Eau Claire, and Judith Ann Rankin, and her husband, Dennis, of Fairview; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren,  one step grandchild; a brother, Larry Southworth and his wife, Jill, of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Sandra Southworth of Prospect.

Visitation and the funeral service will be private.  Interment will be in Eau Claire Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hile Funeral Home of Karns City.   For additional information or to send a condolence, please visit www.hilefh.com.
