Services

Our Services The Hile Funeral Homes offer a full-range of funeral services, ranging from traditional arrangements with visitation and services, to very simplified plans, such as a direct cremation. No matter which type of arrangements families choose, they can be assured that they will receive the utmost professional, compassionate and dignified service from our staff. We also provide our services at the most affordable and competitive prices that we can, enabling each family that we serve to honor their loved ones’ wishes, while remaining within a reasonable financial budget to do so.

Below are several basic examples and descriptions of the wide range of services we offer. Each type of service offering can be easily tailored to fit individual needs. Your funeral director will kindly guide you through this process during your arrangement conference.

Traditional Funeral Services:

Usually include a viewing or visitation and a funeral service (at the funeral home or a church). Included are professional services, embalming and preparation, use of facilities and staff for visitation periods and funeral service, and all transportation, including a hearse to the cemetery.

A casket and a burial vault are necessary items to be purchased additionally.

Immediate Burial:

Is a simplified arrangement, where burial typically occurs shortly after death. There is no visitation held, but often times there is a short service at the funeral home or at the graveside. No embalming is required for an immediate burial. Included are professional services, transportation including a hearse, and filing necessary certificates and permits.

Traditional Services with Cremation:

A visitation or viewing is held, usually with a funeral service following. A rental casket is used for the visitation, and following services, the cremation process is handled. The cremated remains can then be interred or kept by the family. Included are professional services, embalming and preparation, use of facilities and staff for visitation and service, transportation, and the cremation process.

Direct Cremation:

Is a simplified service, where there is no formal viewing or visitation. Often times a memorial service is held at the funeral home or in a church. Included are professional services, transportation, filing of necessary certificates, permits, and authorizations, and the cremation process. Often times, families choose an appropriate urn and inter the cremated remains, or safe-keep them at home.

Long-Distance Transports or Receiving Deceased from Another Funeral Home:

Sometimes, death unexpectedly occurs out of town or out of state. It is very important that you call us first. You do not need to deal directly with an out of town funeral home. We will handle all of those details for you, and save you the expense of duplicating some charges when using more than one funeral home. We have the knowledge and experience to coordinate for professional services and preparations when a loved one dies away from home, and it is necessary to return them home for a visitation, service, or interment. Likewise, if an individual dies locally, and it is necessary to conduct services elsewhere, we are able to handle the initial preparations and coordinate with other funeral homes to ensure that the proper transportation and services are professionally arranged.
