Joy D. (Hendricks) Beaudin

Joy D. Beaudin, 64, of Butler, died Wednesday morning, November 2, 2016 at the Community Living Center at the Butler VA Medical Center.

Joy was born in Dubois on July 5, 1952.  She was the daughter of Harold and Sara Cook Hendricks.

She attended school in Punxsutawney and was a U.S. Air Force veteran having attained the rank of Sergeant.  Joy enjoyed the company of her dog, Zoey, going to drive ins, boating and camping on the river and having a cold beer.   Joy was an avid Johnny Cash fan.  She most especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Joy is survived by her daughter, Laura M. Messer, a son, Shawn Guido and his wife, Jennifer, of Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Sara, Katelyn, Michael, Louis, and Fiona, as well as a number of great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Snyder of Punxsutawney and Karen Nicholson of California, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold “Wilt” Hendricks, and a sister, Sandra Freeman.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday where a memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Robert F.
