Terry Lee DeLoe

Terry Lee DeLoe, 54, of Mehrten Rd., Knox, Beaver Twp., Clarion Co., died of natural causes Sunday morning, August 21, 2016 at his residence.

Terry was born in Oil City on April 17, 1962  He was the son of the late Wayne D. Sr. and Martha L. Cornish DeLoe.

He was of the protestant faith.  Terry attended Keystone schools.  He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the U.S Army Reserves for nine years.  He was self employed for more than 30 years as a carpenter, and for the past year Terry had been employed at Sharp Shopper in Knox.    He enjoyed riding his four wheeler and was an avid hunter. He loved having cookouts and playing cornhole with friends and family. Terry most especially enjoyed the company of his children and grandbabies.

Terry is survived by his wife, Shirley J. Vanwormer DeLoe, whom he married in Knox on March 17, 1983.  Also surviving are three children, Robert W. DeLoe of Knox, Keith A. DeLoe and his fiancé, Amanda Tebay, of Cranberry, and Daniel L. DeLoe and his wife, Nicole, of Shippenville; five grandchildren, Seth, McKenzie, Hunter, Alivia, and Dawson.   Terry was looking forward to the birth of his sixth grandchild soon.  Two brothers survive, Wayne D. DeLoe Jr. and his wife, Nancy and David A. DeLoe and his wife, Fay, all of Knox; four sisters, Anna Seyer of Shippenville, Barbara Bowser and her husband, Gary, of Bruin, Alice Elder and her husband, Mike, of Knox, Jeanette DeLoe of Templeton, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Robert and Donna VanWormer, two brothers, Vern and Kenneth DeLoe, and two nephews, Kenneth and Arthur DeLoe, and a brother-in-law, Melvin Seyler.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Thursday.  A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas Hannold, a Church of God pastor, officiating.  Interment with military honors will be at Brick Church Cemetery, Salem Twp., Clarion County.  Memorial contributions in Mr. DeLoe’s name may be made to Children's hospital in Pittsburgh.
