Connie Lee Cotherman

Connie Lee Cotherman, 71, of Whitehall Rd., Emlenton, Richland Twp., Venango Co., went to be with the Lord Saturday afternoon, October 29, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Connie was born in Richland Twp., Clarion County on September 4, 1945. She was the daughter of Bertha J. Johns Clark of Emlenton and the late Billy G. Clark. Connie was a 1966 graduate of Allegheny Clarion Valley High School.

She had been employed in the housekeeping department at Clarion University. Her most important calling was that of homemaker, mom, and nanny. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, ceramics, and the company of her family, especially her grandchildren. Connie was a member of New Zion E.C. Church in Emlenton.

In addition to her mother, Connie is survived by three sons, F. Nelson Cotherman Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Knox, Steven D. Cotherman and Dianne, of Palm Bay, FL and James D. Cotherman and his wife, Darlene, of Rimersburg; her former husband and her children’s father, Floyd N. Cotherman Sr. of Knox; five grandchildren, Andrew and his wife, Amanda, Megan, Shawna and her husband, Mike, Cody, and Boe; three great grandchildren, Hayden, Bentley, and Chevelle; two brothers, Arthur D. Clark and his wife, Ruby, of Bradford and Terry L. Clark and his wife, Carolyn, of Venus, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her father, Connie was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Monday. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday from the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Brown, pastor of the New Zion E.C. Church and Rev. Eric D. Mitchell, pastor of the Park Hill Church of God, officiating. Interment will follow in Emlenton Cemetery.
