William E. "Bill" Jackson Obituary

William E. “Bill” Jackson, 86, of Strongsville, OH, a beloved son of the Risen Lord, entered into eternity on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

He was the son of the late Howard and Sarah Clark Jackson.

He was a graduate of John Adams High School in Cleveland, OH and was a proud United States Marine who served in the office of Commandant R. McCall Pate in Washington, D.C.  Corporal Jackson truly loved the Marine Corps.

He was an active member of the Vineyard Church in Parma Heights and retired after 40 years of service as a corporate controller.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Wade Jackson; his children, Julie Mayer of Brunswick and Jeff Jackson of Berea and the late William Jackson Jr.; his step children, Lee Smith and his wife, Andi, of Cincinnati, Julie Yanchek and her husband, Paul, of Aliquippa, PA, Laurie Schmidt and her husband, Brian of Perrysburg; he was the beloved grandfather of Jeremy, Sarah, Joe, Nick, Cameron, Aaron, Grace, Alice, Kaylee and Kaden and great grandfather of Thomas and Samuel.

SEMPER FI, MARINE!

Friends will be received at Vineyard Church, 6735 York Road, Parma Heights, OH from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, June 25.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the church at 2 p.m.  Interment with military honors will be in St. Petersburg Cemetery, St. Petersburg, PA, Clarion County.  Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home Inc., St. Petersburg. www.hilefh.com.
