William E. “Bill” Cotherman, 73, of Parker, went to be with the Lord Monday morning, May 4, 2026 at Clarion Care Center.
William was born in Beaver Twp., Clarion County on December 7, 1952. He was the son of the late Charley W. and Sarah L. Whitling Cotherman.
He was a graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in Foxburg and had worked various jobs in the Clarion County area throughout his life.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed photography, playing the harmonica, and the company of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Michael C. “Mike” Cotherman and his wife, Katie; a grandson, William “Will” Cotherman and his wife, Brittany, and their five children, Bill’s great grandchildren, all of Shippenville. His wife survives, Margaret “Margie” Callender Cotherman of Parker and Bill’s stepdaughters, Michelle Campbell and her husband, Roy, of Springfield, GA and Marcia Rearick and her husband, Chris, of Parker and their six children, Bill’s grandkids, Ashlie, Alex, Kris, Tyler, Brady, and Chase and their eight children, Bill’s great grandkids; his sisters, Jean Myers and her husband, Ken, of St. Petersburg and Linda Hepler and her husband, Loni, of Knox; six brothers survive, Daniel Cotherman and his wife, Sandy, of Meadville, Lawrence “Larry” Cotherman and his wife, Devra, of Maryland, Thomas “Tom” Cotherman and his wife, Charlene, of Shippenville, Walter Cotherman and his wife, Carla, of Rimersburg, Jeffrey “Jeff” Cotherman of Kennerdell and Ronald “Ron”Cotherman of St. Petersburg, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, as well as his father-in-law and mother-in-law, and a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Cotherman and Charles Cotherman and his wife, Sara.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 802 Grove St., St. Petersburg, from 6-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 10-11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Travis Earp of the Living Word Church, officiating.
