Sheila J. Gilmore Obituary

Sheila J. Gilmore, 58, of Rte. 58, Emlenton, Richland Township, Clarion County, passed away while in the company of her sister at Oakwood Heights in Oil City early Friday morning, June 7, 2024. 

Sheila was born in Sharon on Dec. 13, 1965.  She was the daughter of the late Ernest Starcher and Lorena Zellefrow Starcher Fortner, and the step-daughter of Archie Fortner of Emlenton.

She attended school in A-C Valley and later earned her GED. 

Sheila was a homemaker, enjoyed flower gardening, crafts, watching TV, being on her tablet, and the company of her grandchildren. 

In addition to her step-father, she is survived by two daughters, Tricia L. Evans and her husband John of Mt. Nebo, West Virginia, and Kara Felix (Samuel Zacherl) of Seneca; and a son, W. Paul Finley of Emlenton.  She was affectionately "Nana" to her grandchildren, Bentley Zacherl and Johnny Evans. 

Also surviving are her siblings: Steve Curtician of Marienville, Larry (Dee) McGinnis of Mt. Dora, Florida, and Thomas Strope of Tionesta, Lisa Raymond (Brian) of Sandy Lake; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Emlenton Civic Club, 605 Main St., Emlenton from 1 - 4 p.m. on Saturday June 22.   Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home, Inc. in Emlenton.  Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.hilefh.com
