Shannon J. “Chaka” Young Carbin, 50, of Butler, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Sunday, March 28, 2021 at her home.
Shannon was born in Butler on May 23, 1970. She was the daughter of Theodore Young of Butler and the late Marion G. Rupert Young.
She was an avid Steeler fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In her earlier years, she had been employed at The Last Laugh in Chicora.
Surviving are two children, Anthony S. “Tony” Carbin and his wife, Ashlie, of Parker and Shawna Lee Campbell and her husband, Chad, of Karns City; three grandchildren, Jace, Sydney, and Hannah; her companion, Gordon Taggart; a brother, Richard L. “Tucker” Young and his companion, Dana Gaillot, of Butler; a niece, Kayla Young of Greenville, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Young, her grandparents, and a number of aunts and uncles.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 3 – 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.
