Ruth H. (Hanel) Botts

Ruth H. Botts of Knox, the village of Monroe, died on Friday, May 17, 2019. 

Born in Salem Township, she was the daughter of the late George and Edna Hanel. She married her husband, Robert E. Botts, after meeting him while working at Puritan Pottery in Shippenville. He preceded her in death in 2002. Ruth enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, quilting, reading, and talking to friends.

She is survived by two sons, Alan Botts of Monroe and William ‘Ed’ Botts and his wife, Susan, of Frederick, MD. Also surviving is a brother, John Hanel, of Wilmington, DE. 

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home Inc., of Saint Petersburg. Interment will be in Shippenville Cemetery.
