Robert was born in West View, Allegheny County on April 20, 1943. He was the son of the late Franklin H. and Mary E. Marziale Perry. He was a 1961 graduate of Emlenton High School, and was a US Army Veteran, serving with the Army’s Signal Corps during the Vietnam Era. Bob was self-employed for many years as the owner-operator of Bob Perry Construction. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, and playing cards, usually Texas Hold’em on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons, and “holding court” at the “bullpen” in the pavilion along the Allegheny at Riverview Apartments. Bob was an avid bird-watcher, and was most especially looking for the Eagles flying out over the river.
Bob is survived by his wife, Debra L. Stewart Perry, whom he married on May 5, 1976; two children, Jason A. Perry and Amy L. Perry of Coraopolis; a brother, Gary J. Perry and his wife, Teresa, of Athens, TN; four sisters, Gloria A. Greenwood of Howard, OH, Mary Beth Henshaw, of Franklin, Debra J. Butler and her husband, Tom, of Clearfield, and Jean M. Armes, of Greensburg; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law.
