Robert Bottz Obituary

Robert I. Bottz, 79, of Mountain Home, Idaho, went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 9, 2018.  Bob was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing, and his earthly presence will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched in so many ways.

Robert was born on August 4, 1939 in Six Points to Charles B. and Agnes H. Smith Bottz.  He was the oldest of their three children.

Bob was employed at the Quaker State Refining Company in Emlenton for 34 years.  He enjoyed hunting and took great pleasure spending time in the outdoors.

 On June 28, 1961 he married Judith D. Bennett in Six Points.  She preceded Robert in death on September 27, 2003. They had two children; Pamela Dyle and her husband, Gene, of Poplar Bluff, MO and Christina Griggs and her husband, Justin, of Mountain Home, Idaho, and all survive.

On November 10, 2007 he married Debra Farley in Fallon, NV and she survives.  Also surviving are two step sons Aaron Farley and his wife, Heather, of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Sean Klotz and his wife, Samone, of Chester, Virginia; his grandchildren, Shauna Lewis and her husband, Mathew, of Kuna, ID;  Chelsea  Wethington and her husband, Roy, of Boise, ID; Bradley Griggs and his wife, Jessie, of Mountain Home, ID; Shaneria Griggs of Mountain Home, ID; Rachel (Nathan) Martin and her husband, Nathan,of Mountain Home, ID; and Brian Martin of Fernley, NV; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Liliana, and Nolan Lewis; McKayla Smith and MadilynneWethington; Averie and Colt Griggs; Evie Martin; and Kyron Martin; a sister, Charlotte “Toot” Rose of Cowen, WV;  two aunts, Jean and Charlotte, his uncle, Elmer Smith and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Mary “Sis” Wingard, who died on August 29, 2006.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15.  A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Taylor, pastor of New Life Baptist Church, St. Petersburg, officiating.  Interment will be Allegheny Cemetery.
