N. Darlene Morgan Obituary

N. Darlene “Daisy” Morgan, 69, of Karns City, formerly of New Castle, went to be with the Lord Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born in Grove City on July 12, 1949, Darlene was the daughter of the late Richard W. and Ida Jayne Middendorf Smith.

Darlene was a 1967 graduate of Moniteau High School and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock College. She was a member of the Boyers United Methodist Church.   She enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting, and was clown “Daisy” for the Mid Atlantic Association.

Darlene retired in 2010 from the death registration unit at Vital Records in New Castle.

She was married in Boyers on July 8, 1972 to Donald Morgan.  He preceded her in death on November 16, 1977.

She is survived by two sisters, Marlene Smith of Harrisburg and Kathy I. Harmon and her husband, Mike, of Karns City; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Sally Morgan of New Brighton, Al and Amy Morgan of Monument, CO, Sandra McFeaters, Nanci and Gordon Craig and Karen and John Windisch, all of Harrisville, as well as a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 – 11 a.m. Friday.  A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Jim Lewis, pastor of the Karns City United Methodist Church, officiating.  Interment will be Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.  Condolences may be sent by visiting www.hilefh.com.
