Kenneth McKee Jr. Obituary

Kenneth L. “Ken” McKee Jr., 84, of Parker, a former church pastor and Parker businessman, went peacefully to be with the Lord in the company of his loving family Thursday evening October 2, 2025 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Kenneth was born in Six Points, Allegheny Township, Butler County, on June 5, 1941.  He was the son of the late Kenneth L. Sr. and Hannah M. Sherwin McKee.  He was a 1959 graduate of the Allegheny Clarion Valley School District.  He attended the Biblical Training Institute in Cleveland, TN and was a devoted pastor for more than twenty years; he was currently a member of the Six Points Church of God of Prophecy. Ken retired as an electrician following many years of service at Penreco in Karns City.  He was a well-known entrepreneur and businessman in Parker owning and operating Quality Windows, Happy Trials Trikes and Bike Shop, and Ken’s Ice Cream in Six Points.  He was a skilled wood craftsman and was well known for building and selling “the world’s most comfortable swing” picnic tables, and other wooden crafts.  Ken enjoyed singing with the Allegheny Boys, camping and boating, and was affectionately “Pap Pap” to the grandkids who were the light of his life.  The “kids” most especially looked forward to his tall tales of “Clyde the Skunk”.

Ken is survived by his wife, June L. Sedwick McKee whom he married at the Six Points Church of God of Prophecy on June 17, 1961.  Three children survive, Lauri L. Miller and her husband, Dave of Cranberry Township, Kenneth J. “Junior” McKee and his wife, Kathy of Spotsylvania, Va, and William T. “Bill” McKee and his wife, Anne of Six Points; four grandchildren: Tyler D. Miller, Tiffany D. Miller, Liam N. McKee and his wife Kaitlyn, and Aidan McKee; a great-granddaughter, Mirabelle G. McKee; a sister, Joyce Bowser and her husband, Otis of Seneca; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Althea and Ellen.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc. 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton from 1-3pm and 6-8pm on Monday, and at the Six Points Church of God of Prophecy 126 McKee Rd. Parker,  from 10-11am on Tuesday.  A funeral service will follow from the Church at 11am with Bishop Jay Croyle, a Church of God of Prophecy pastor, officiating.  Interment will be in Scrubgrass Stone Church Cemetery.  To send a condolence, please visit www.hilefh.com.
