Kathleen Raye Gregg

Kathleen Raye “Kathy” Gregg, 81, of Emlenton, a retired Allegheny-Clarion Valley elementary school teacher went to be with the Lord Monday, September 9, 2024.

Kathleen was born in Ambridge on November 23, 1942.  She was the daughter of the late Dave and Mildred McCune Gregg.

She was a 1960 graduate of Ambridge High School and a 1963 graduate of Slippery Rock State College, where she received a B.S. in education.  In 1975 she received a Master of Library Science from Clarion State College.  Kathy taught elementary school at Corway Elementary from 1963-1968 and retired from the Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District where she taught from 1968-1996.

Kathy enjoyed music and played piano and guitar.  Her love for dogs, birds, and nature were her priority.

Kathy is survived by her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Gregg and a niece, Loribeth Gregg, both of Toronto, Canada.  Also surviving are her friends, Susan Larimore, Lois Orton, Ken and Judy Hanby, Larry and Rose Marie Dehner, and Anita Allen.  Kathy was very grateful for the visits and prayers of her friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Gregg.

A memorial service will be held at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Avenue, Emlenton, on Thursday, September 19 at 1 p.m.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Emlenton Area Ambulance Association, PO Box 371, Emlenton, PA 16373.  Condolences may be sent by visiting www.hilefh.com.
