Glenn LeeRoy Maley Obituary

Glenn LeeRoy Maley, 91, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 9, 2023, at his home in Haysville surrounded by his family.

Glenn was born in Rattigan on August 30, 1932.  He was the son of the late Clarence L. and May Shultz Maley.

Glenn was a life-long member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady’s Bend.  He attended the Rattigan One Room School.  He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  Glenn was avid music lover and enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to music.  At age 16, he started the Sugarcreek Ramblers, a country western band that played at local dance halls.  It was during one of these dances he fell in love with Evelyn, his wife of 58 years.  He enjoyed long walks in the woods with his dog, Sunday drives, and playing with his grandkids.

Glenn retired from Witco Chemical Corporation in 1995 where he had been employed for 36 years.  Prior to his employment at Witco, he worked at Pullman Standard, Johns’ Coal Mine, and as a farm hand at the Boyle farm in Rattigan.

He married Evelyn Crawford Maley July 19, 1952.  Mrs. Maley passed away on April 3, 2010.

Glenn is survived by two daughters, Dianne Sinz and her husband, Jeffrey, of Chicora and Deborah Maley of Chicora; three grandchildren, Blaine Sinz, Ben Sinz, and Anna Sinz, and a sister-in-law, Helen Maley.

In addition to his parents and wife, Glenn was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Bruce, and a brother, Clarence Maley.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main Street, Karns City on Monday, from 3 – 8 p.m. Monday.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady’s Bend, 915 SR 68, East Brady, with the Rev.
