Elizabeth Rae (Byers) Pilkay

Elizabeth Rae “Beth” Pilkay, age 43, of Powell passed away Saturday evening, December 12, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

Beth graduated from Farragut High School in 1995. She was an employee of Ben Atchley State Veteran’s Home for many years.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents and her aunts, Peggy Bowser.

Beth is survived by her husband of 23 years, S. Todd Pilkay; sons, Benjamin and Gavin; mother, Marilyn Jo (Dan) Bowser of Knoxville; Daryle Byers of Pennsylvania; siblings, JoLee (Townsend) Range of Oak Ridge, Max Bowser of Oak Ridge, Garret (Nicole) Bowser of Virginia, Mitch (Laura) Bowser of Virginia, Ashley Byers of Pennsylvania; adopted daughter, Whitney (Aaron) Mayes of Powell; granddaughter, Kelly Ford; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vickie and Steve Pilkay of Karns; grandmother, Lucille Grubb of Karns; sisters-in-law, Alisha (Jay) Stansberry of Claxton, Stacey (Brad) Farmer of Lenoir City; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Becky Haun, Tonya Anderson both of Powell, Danielle Hite of Pennyslvania; cousin, Rachel Wilson of Pennsylvania.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora on Tuesday, December 29 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dennis Barger, pastor of Scrubgrass Stone Church, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tennessee Cancer Specialists, www.tncancer.com
