Doris Louise (Hillwig) Bevington

Doris Louise Bevington (Hillwig), 86, of Springville, NY, born July 9, 1937 to Kenneth and Claire Hillwig of Kaylor, PA, passed away peacefully under hospice care on December 2, 2023,  surrounded by her family at home.

Doris was well known by friends, family, church members and others for her apple dumplings as well as her notes of encouragement and her kindness and generosity.

Doris is survived by husband David Y. Bevington, whom she married on July 29, 1961; son, Douglas Alan Bevington and his wife Robin and family; daughter, Donna Jean Benstead and family; her sisters Twila Williams, Anna Emmanuelson, and Dixie Bryant; her brothers Darrell and Dean Hillwig and many nieces and nephews.

       To celebrate her life, friends will be received at the Chicora Alliance Church, 310 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora, PA 16025 from 10-11:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 9 with a funeral service to follow at 12 Noon.
