Obituary
Dominic J. DeBacco Sr., 85, of Chicora, passed unexpectedly on Monday, May 29, 2023.
He was born on February 20, 1938, in Brady’s Bend, to Paul and Grace DeBacco. After serving in the US Air Force, Dominic worked as a beautician and entrepreneur for more than thirty years in Slippery Rock. He was truly a self-made man.
He enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, and a good glass of wine with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; and he was adored by everyone who met him.
He will be remembered by his loving wife of 63 years, Yvonne; his son, Dominic Jr., and his daughter-in-law, Stacy; as well as his three grandchildren and their spouses and three great-granddaughters.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 2, from 3-7 p.m. at the Sons of Italy in Brady’s Bend. Interment will be in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora. Memorial contributions may be made to The Sons of Italy 1484 Scholarship Fund, 758 Rt. 68, East Brady, PA 16028. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora.
