David Yohe Bevington, 87, of Springville, NY passed away on July 8, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born on December 18, 1937 in Harrisburg, PA to Henry and Josephine Bevington. He was a devoted husband to Doris Louise Bevington, married July 29, 1961, who preceded him in death.
David was a hard-working, devoted Christian. He spent many years as a pastor ministering to the people of Pennsylvania, New York, Iowa, and Michigan, retiring at the age of 85.
He was known to spend his time blueberry picking, playing harmonica and piano to residents of local nursing homes, and singing with friends and family.
He is survived by his son Douglas Alan Bevington and his wife Robin and family; Donna Jean Benstead and family; brothers Paul and Dan Bevington, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
To celebrate his life, friends and family will be received at the First Presbyterian Church of Springville, 38 N. Buffalo St., in Springville, NY, Friday, July 11, 2025 from 10 am-12 pm with a funeral service to follow at 12:30 pm.
Friends and family will also be received at the Chicora Alliance Church, 310 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora, PA 16025 from 1-3 pm on Saturday, July 12, 2025 with a funeral service to follow at 3:30 pm, with the Rev. Mark Hillwig, pastor of East Brady Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
