Clyde James Burgdorfer, 63, of Painters Rock Lane, Emlenton, Rockland Twp., passed away peacefully Friday morning, April 30, 2021 at home.
Clyde was born in Oil City on January 3, 1958. He was the son of the late Gerald B. and Betty J. DeLoe Watson.
He was a 1977 graduate of Cranberry High School. In his earlier years he was employed at Timberline packaging until 2004 and later was employed at Hirsch's Meat Market until his retirement in 2018.
Clyde enjoyed woodworking, restoring old vehicles, playing chess, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Burgdorfer was married on June 27, 1992 to Ruth A. Bechtel. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2004.
He is survived by two children, Andrew Burgdorfer of Rockland, and Susan Bable and her husband, Karl, of New Castle; four grandchildren, four brothers, Gerald Burgdorfer, Clifford Burgdorfer, William Watson, and Floyd Watson and three sisters, Rosalie Kunselman, Mabel Bechtel, and Rita Ison.
In addition to his wife and parents, Clyde was preceded in death a brother, Martin Burgdorfer.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home Inc., Emlenton. Interment will be in Rockland Cemetery. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.hilefh.com.
