Alfred Angiolieri Obituary

Alfred A. “Fred” Angiolieri, 79, of East Brady, a well-known former Petrolia resident, went to be with the Lord Saturday evening, March 20, 2021 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital with his wife and daughter by his side.

Alfred was born in Butler on February 9, 1942.  He was the son of the late Adolfo and Altumira Teglia Angiolieri.

He was a 1959 graduate of Butler High School and was a member of the Petrolia Presbyterian Church.

Fred was married in Chicora on June 9, 1988 to Janice Jordan Angiolieri.  She survives.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and served in Vietnam on reconnaissance missions.

Fred had been employed at Service Star, the Petrolia Water Authority, Petrolia Borough, and retired in August 2020 from Point Security at Sonneborn where he had been employed for 13 years.

Fred enjoyed spending time with his wife Janice, of 32 years, and his grandchildren, as well as working crossword puzzles and reading.

In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by his children, Kellie Michael of Chicora, Diane Yasika and her husband, Tim, of Petrolia, Tracy Morehouse of Karns City, Fred Angiolieri and his wife, Marcel, of Export, Marybeth Resakowski and her husband, Jeff, of Oil City, and Greg Angiolieri of Franklin; his grandchildren, Amber Rumbarger, Kody Kolich, Jordan Morehouse, Luc Yasika, Devin, Erik, and Allie Angiolieri, Conner and Madison Resakowski and Chris (Melanie) and Brook Angiolieri; his great grandchildren, Rosalina Angiolieri and Miley and Crew Angiolieri; a sister, Jeanne Hagins and her husband, Jan, of Butler; his nieces, Janine Haughey and her husband, John, and Jana Hagins (Matt), as well as a number of other nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A private graveside committal service officiated by the Rev. David Perry, the chaplain of the Petrolia Fire Dept. and military honors accorded by members of the Chicora and Brady’s Bend American Legion Posts will take place in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.  Memorial contributions in Fred’s memory may be made to the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Dept., PO Box 237, Petrolia, PA 16050.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City.  Condolences may be sent by visiting www.hilefh.com.
