Thomas Ryan Simmons

Thomas Ryan “Tommy Dong” Simmons, 40, of State Route 68, East Brady, Sugarcreek Twp., Armstrong Co., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his home.

Born in Butler on January 18, 1977, Thomas was the son of William J. “Bill” Simmons of Chicora.

Tommy was a 1996 graduate of Karns City High School.  He enjoyed the company of his family, hunting, fishing, quad riding, singing karaoke, and was always the “life of the party”.  He was employed at Keystone Ridge Design in Butler.

In addition to his father, Tom is survived by two children, Ethan T. and Abby R. Simmons, at home; a brother, William J. “Bill” Simmons of Chicora; two sisters, Sherry L. Simmons Pyle and Robin Simmons, both of Butler; several nieces and nephews, William J. Simmons III, Marissa Simmons, Cory and Justin Pyle, and Ryan and Tara Parsons.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 4 – 7 p.m. Wednesday.  A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 7:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family, c/o William J.
