Roy A. “Bud” Kemery, 63, of Community Rd., Emlenton, went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, May 22, 2018 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Roy was born in Grove City on January 25, 1955. He was the son of the late Roy A. Sr. and June A. Gordon Kemery. He was a 1973 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in Foxburg. He was a long time active member of New Zion Evangelical Church in Emlenton and served on the church board. He was retired from Mid Atlantic Youth Services in Emlenton and had previously been employed by Timberline Box Plant in Knox. He enjoyed the company of his Irish Setters, Princess and Tanker, bird watching, and riding his gator.
Bud is survived by his wife Debra S. Cotherman Kemery; four children, Raymond A. Kemery, and his wife, Eigna L. and Richard A. Kemery and his wife, Dori A., all of Emlenton, Heather M. Kemery and her fiancé, Charles Orf, and Holly D. Balsamo and her husband, Tim, all of Clintonville; six grandchildren, Madyson, Richard “J.R.”, Kaylee, Isaac, Jacob, and Troy; two brothers, Roger Kemery and his wife, Terri, of St. Petersburg and Ron Kemery and his wife, Tammy, of Rimersburg; two sisters, Joyce Stalker and her husband, Kenny, of Boyers, and Judy Gates and her husband, Mike, of Emlenton, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Gary Brown, Roy’s Church Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Starr Cemetery, Knox.
