Paula G. Coleman

Paula G. Coleman, 59, of Butler, earned her angel wings and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 20, 2017, after a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

Paula was the daughter of the late Thomas A. Coleman and Carol (Cindy) Day Coleman.  She was born on July 9, 1957 in Butler.  She graduated from Karns City High School in 1975 and attended Butler County Community College.  She was formerly employed at Chicora Medical Center, Sunnyview nursing home, Complete Care, United Cerebral Palsy, and also worked as a visiting nurse before her illness. 

Paula attended God’s Country United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed scenic drives, attending yard sales, dining out, and spending time at Moraine State Park.  Paula was caring and patient and loved spending time with children.  She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephew as they grew up, and later, her great nieces and nephews.  She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Surviving are her mother Carol (Cindy) Day Coleman; two sisters, Sharon (Richard) Walker and Sandra Coleman; one nephew, Mick (Lisa Marie) Kendrick; four nieces, Autum (Donald) Copper, Ginger Kendrick, Samantha Walker and Elizabeth Walker.   A number of aunts and uncles also survive.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City, from 10 – 11:00 a.m. Thursday where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m.  with the Reverend Eric Park of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery in Petrolia.   Memorial contributions may be made to The First United Methodist Church God’s Country, 200 E.
