Margery Elaine Macefe, 67, of Kaylor Frogtown Road, East Brady, Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, following a brief illness.
Elaine was born in Butler on November 5, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Clyde William and Emilie Genevieve Wiles Moore.
She worked at Butler Memorial Hospital as a medical transcriptionist, and later as the secretary for maintenance and housekeeping. She retired following 42 years of service. Elaine was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Community Church in Chicora where she cooked for the funeral dinners. In her spare time, Elaine enjoyed cooking and baking and will be remembered for her excellent pies and cookies.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Richard Macefe, whom she married at St. Paul’s Community Church on August 4, 1990. In addition to her husband, she is survived by an aunt, Mary “Sis” Wiles, as well as numerous brothers-in law, sisters-in-law and cousins.
Friends will be received at St. Paul’s Community Church, 2167 State Route 268, Chicora, on Friday from 10 – 10:45 a.m. A funeral service will be held from the church at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jonathan J. Jensen, church pastor, officiating. Private interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Community Church.
