Jean L. (Egleston) Beach

Jean L. Beach, 95, of Shippenville, formerly of Ripley, New York, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Shippenville Health and Rehab Center.

Jean was born in Buffalo, New York on June 22, 1922.  She was the daughter of the late Jesse M.  and Doris Hills Egleston.

She was of the Methodist faith.  She enjoyed scrabble, bingo, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Jean was married on November 30, 1940 to Carl Beach.  He preceded her in death in 1985.

Surviving are two sons, Carl Beach Jr. of Northeast and Robert Beach of Ripley, NY; among her great grandchildren are Robert, Tim, Lynette, Chrissy, Carla, and Tabitha Walker and her husband, Walter, of St. Petersburg; a number of great grandchildren, Cassie, Jay, Jaylynn, and Jayden, as well as a number of great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by a brother, John, and a sister, Sandra.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 802 Grove St., St. Petersburg, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. from the funeral home with the Rev.
