Betty Lou Hegedus

Betty Lou Hegedus, 87, of Chicora, formerly of Wheeling, WV, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Chicora Medical Center with her family by her side.

Betty was born on May 6, 1931 in Benwood, WV.  She was employed by Wheeling Stamping and was also a caretaker for churches in Warwood,WV.

She was a provider of love and was loved by many.  For the last seven years Betty was loved and cared for by the fabulous staff at the Chicora Medical Center.  The love they showed for her will never be forgotten.  She loved them very much.

Betty loved her family.  She enjoyed doing just about anything with her family.  Her eyes lit up every day when her family would visit.  She laughed every day and told her family she loved them every day of her life.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her endless love and kind heart.

She leaves her son, Mike Hegedus and his wife, Molly, of Chicora, as well as three granddaughters, Megan McGarvey, and her husband, Evan, Annie, and Emily Hegedus of Chicora.  She also leaves her daughter, Patti Kuca and her three grandsons, Frank, Kevin, and Kyle Kuca and three great grandchildren of Wheeling, WV; her sisters-in-law, Rose Spisich and Theresa Suto.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alex Hegedus, her sisters, Lou Stillion and Helen Higgins, her brothers, Jim Gellner and Ray Gellner, and her children, Susan and Paul Hegedus.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 7 – 9 p.m. Friday.  A committal service will be held at Mt.
