RuthAnn Feltenberger Wirtner, 74, of Bell Road, Emlenton, Scrubgrass Twp., Venango County, passed away April 8, 2017 at her home.

Born in Erie on March 22, 1943, RuthAnn was the daughter of the late Dennis V. and Beatrice Charlotte Way Feltenberger.

She was a graduate of Wattsburg High School.  She graduated from beauty school in Erie.  In her earlier years she had been employed by Sonney’s Photography Studio in Erie and later at J.M. Beatty Automotive in Eau Claire.

RuthAnn had an avid love for horses and collie dogs and was active in the Terhune Sunnybank Memorial.  She also had been a member of the Presque Isle Collie Club of Erie and helped to found the Rainbow Morgan Horse Association.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland G. Wirtner, who died on September 5, 2004.

She is survived by a daughter, Heidi L. Wirtner (Roy) of Eau Claire; a brother, Dennis C. Feltenberger of NorthEast; two nieces, Amy Heyer and her husband, Jay, and Naomi Grove and her husband, Mike, and their children, and a nephew, Dennis C. Feltenberger II.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death, her sister-in-law, Barbara J. Feltenberger.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 1 -3 and 6- 9 p.m.  on Saturday, April 15.  A private service will be held and burial will be at Big Bend Cemetery, Emlenton.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Terhune Sunnybank Memorial Park, c/o Judy Leathers, 428 South St., Fair Port Harbor, OH 44071-5621.  For additional information or to send a condolence, please visit www.hilefh.com.
