Priscilla E. Ashe

March 16, 1945 ~ October 19, 2016 (age 71) 71 Years Old


Priscilla E. Ashe, 71, of County Line Road, Fenelton, peacefully ended her fight with cancer while surrounded by her loving husband and sons, early Wednesday morning, October 19, 2016 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

 

Mrs. Ashe was born in Holyoke, MA on March 16, 1945. She was the daughter of Walter and Doris Malenfant Lamory. Priscilla graduated from Chicopee High School in Massachusetts. In her earlier years she had been employed as a teacher’s aide in the Butler Area School District. Mrs. Ashe was a longtime member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Parish in Fenelton. She enjoyed line dancing, working outside in her yard, and especially enjoyed flower gardening and riding her quad in the woods.

 

Priscilla is survived by her husband, Harry J. Ashe whom she married in Holyoke, MA on June 3, 1967.

 

Also surviving are two sons, Steven D. Ashe, of Pittsburgh and Brian S. Ashe, of Fenelton; two brothers, Walter Lamory II, of Las Vegas, NV and Michael Lamory and his wife, Denise, of Hampden, MA; two sisters, Judy Camarroti of Flowery Branch, Ga, and Alice Mosser of Las Vegas, NV; also surviving are an uncle and aunt, Raymond and June Malenfant, of Greenfield, MA,; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Rosemary Ashe, of Butler, as well a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

In addition to her parents, Priscilla was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Barbara Hawryliak, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred and Mary Ashe.

 

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Parish, Coylesville, 668 Clearfield Rd., Fenelton, with the Rev. Matt McClain, church pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora.
