Mary Lou (Sayers) Harp

Mary Lou “Lou” Harp, 73, of Rt. 58, Parker, passed away to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning, August 23, 2016 at Clarview Nursing Home in Sligo.

Mary Lou was born in Beaver Twp., Clarion County on July 4, 1943.  She was the daughter of the late Harry and Virginia Ruth Buck Sayers.

She was a 1961 graduate of Keystone High School in Knox.  She was of the Lutheran faith.  Mrs. Harp was a homemaker.  She enjoyed gardening, pontoon boat rides, crocheting, and puzzles.  She was a gifted crafter and painter.  Mary Lou had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing with her mother and sisters.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Gary E. Harp, whom she married at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Knox on December 20, 1969.  She survived by four children, K. Alan Seamon and his wife, Kim, of Meadville, Dawn Kindle (Seamon) of Erie, Stacey Bechtel and her husband, David, of Knox, and Gary S. Harp and his wife, Roxanne, of Meadville; five grandchildren, Hillery Seamon, Billi Jo Seamon and her friend, Teri Ruhl, Derrick Bechtel and his friend, Emma Cox, Bradley Harp and Steven Harp; three sisters, Ruth Coussins and her husband, Ron, of Marienville, LaVonne McCoy and her husband, Dan, of Foxburg, Linda Downing and her husband, Gary, of Emlenton; her step mother, Virginia Rose Sayers of Turkey City; the following brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom Ferris of Emlenton, Marland Harp of Marienville, Beverly and Gerald Schmader of Lucinda, Rick Harp of Strattanville, and Dlana Harp of Marienville, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Ferris and a sister-in-law, Ruth Harp.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 802 Grove St., St. Petersburg from 2- 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday.  A funeral service will be held from the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Friday with the Rev.
