Lois M. (Vensel) Campbell

Lois M. Campbell, 89, of Fairview, passed away Wednesday evening, February 22, 2017 at Parker Personal Care.

Lois was born in Kaylor on March 30, 1927.  She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Bertha Lanterman Vensel.

She was a graduate of Fairview Twp. Karns City High School. In her earlier years had been a member of St. Peter’s Reformed Church in Fairview, and later the Fairview Presbyterian Church.

Lois enjoyed playing cards with friends.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, quilting, ceramics, and most especially the company of her “grandkids”.

Lois was married in Kaylor on September 20, 1958 to Dale S. Campbell.  He preceded her in death on August 28, 2012.

She is survived by her son, William C. “Bill” Campbell and his wife, Melissa “Missy” of Chicora; three granddaughters, Kayla Andreassi and her husband, Nick, of Fairview, Ashley Campbell of Pittsburgh, and Chelsea Campbell, a student at Slippery Rock University; a sister, Sara Schnell and her husband, Lee, of Karns City; a sister-in-law, Roberta Vensel of Chicora, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard “Dick” Vensel and Donald Bishop; four sisters, Mary Wick, Margaret “Peg” Fair, Mildred Friters, and Doris Gray.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 1 – 3 and 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday.  A funeral service will be held from the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev.
