Kimberly M. Powers

Kimberly M. Powers, 29, of Butler, died early Wednesday morning, May 25, 2016, from injuries she sustained in a vehicle accident on Ziegler Ave.

Kimberly was born in Butler on September 17, 1986. She was the daughter of Tracy Lynn Powers of Butler. She enjoyed being with her kids, playing bingo, listening to country music, and the company of her friends. She attended Butler Area Schools, and was employed at the Dairy Queen at Cranberry Twp.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two children, Matthew J. Powers, of Chicora, and Emaly Marie Anthony and Emaly’s dad, Keith of Herman; her grandmother, Patty Powers, of East Butler; two brothers, Stephen S. Schweiger and Ryan D. Powers, both of Butler; three sisters, Jaclyn Kostelansky of Leechburg, Kiersten Powers of Hastings, Lindzee Kradel, of Butler; as well as a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, James and Sara Powers, and a cousin, Jamie Fend.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora-Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Wallace, pastor of the Chicora Alliance Church, officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
