Ervin J. Davis

Ervin J. “Grumpy” Davis, 73, of Fairview Rd., Petrolia, passed away Saturday evening, May 20, 2017 at his home.

Born in Chicora on October 11, 1943, Ervin was the son of the late Ervin J. Sr. and Stella Trimbur Davis.

Ervin was a graduate of Fairview Twp. Karns City High School.  Ervin was a lifelong truck driver and owned and operated JCD Trucking with his son.

Ervin is survived by his wife, Peggy S. Peck Davis.  Also surviving are four children, Stacey L. Kirkham and her husband, Bryan, of Pelion, SC, Gregory A. Davis and his wife, Peggy, of Grove City, Robert R. Sherbon and his wife, Melissa, of Deland, FL, and Jamie Davis of Petrolia; ten grandchildren, Stevie, Tyler, Amanda, Katelyn, Anthony, Briana, Alyla, Dylan, Cearra, and Jamie; a great grandson, Cayden; three brothers, Edward Davis and his wife, Mitzi of Texas, Douglas Davis and his wife, Pam, of Franklin, and Marvin Davis and his wife, Mary of Chicora, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Jeremy and a niece, Amanda.
