Elaine Norma (Johns) Ryan

Elaine Norma Johns Ryan, 63, of Chicora, went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, June 26, 2016 at the Chicora Medical Center.

Elaine was born in Butler on June 25, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Willis and Norma Claudine Lynch Johns.

She was of the Christian faith and prior to becoming ill, enjoyed singing in the church choir. She enjoyed being outdoors and gatherings with family and friends.

She was a 1971 graduate of Karns City High School.  Elaine was self-employed with her own cleaning business and was later employed at Lowe’s in Lancaster.

Elaine is survived by three children, Keary J. Furka and his wife, Jaime, of Jay, ME, Regina M. Wallace and her husband, Joe, of San Mateo, CA, and Christopher L. Ryan and his wife, Lauren, of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Natalie and Emma Furka and Brycen M. Wallace; two brothers, Terry Johns and his wife, Regina, of Elyria, OH, Dean Johns and his wife, Ann, of Bruin; three sisters, Darlene Landgraf and her husband, Gary, of Bruin, Lisa Ace and her husband, Ernie, of Bruin, and Patty Johns and her fiance, Mike Gibson, of Chicora, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main Street, Karns City, from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday.   A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Wallace, pastor of the Chicora Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, officiating.  Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery,  Sugarcreek Twp.,  Armstrong Co.
