Benjamin R. Burris Jr.

Benjamin R. Burris Jr., 67, of Lime Plant Road, Parker, passed away late Wednesday evening, October 19, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Benjamin was born in Butler on September 8, 1949. He was the son of Helen M. Logue Burris, of Parker, and the late Benjamin R. Burris Sr. He was a graduate of Allegheny Clarion Valley High School in Foxburg, and was a honorably discharged US Army Veteran, serving from 1972 through 1975. He had been employed as a custodian at Allegheny Clarion Valley School District.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife Patty; two brothers, Leslie R. Burris and his wife, Pat, and Earl F. Burris; a sister, Barbara Burris Rayes as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the West Freedom United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 5, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Dan Myers, a retired Methodist pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the West Freedom Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded at the church by the V.E.T.S Honor Guard of Franklin.
